2017 Junior Golf Lessons

  • Lesson times vary to fit your schedule.  We offer 4-day camps, as well as summer long programs.
  • We offer a variety of lessons for all experience levels:  beginners, intermediates, advanced, or parent/child.
  • All equipment (clubs, balls, tees, etc.) is provided for those who want it, both youth and adults.
  • We have sessions for current grades pre-k to 8th.
  • Our small class sizes allow for great individual attention.
  • League play is available for the intermediate and advanced levels.
  • The program is directed by PGA Golf Professional Barry Wallin, Director of Golf Instruction at Emerald Greens GC and Head Girls’ Golf Coach at Rosemount High School. His staff includes a select group of accomplished collegiate and high school golfers, who are also excellent at working with kids.

One Week Golf Camp for Beginners and Intermediates

Four (4) daily lessons running Monday through Thursday of the same week. Each day’s lesson lasts 1.75 hours. Students will be grouped in each session according to age/ability. Topics include Full swing I and II, putting, chipping, pitching, safety, terminology, and etiquette.   Fee: $99, includes four 1.75 hour lessons, use of all equipment, a golf t-shirt, and a bag tag. Fridays will be used for make-up days for any rainouts. Pick a week and a time: Each lesson lasts 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Weekly Golf Lessons

Six (6) once a week 1.75 hour lessons from the week of June 19 through the week of July 31, skipping the week of July 4th. Students will be grouped in session according to age/ability.  The week of August 8 will be used as a make-up week for any rainouts.

Beginners and Intermediates (Intermediates play Thursday junior league @ 8 AM)

Topics include: Full swing I and II, putting, chipping, pitching, safety, terminology, and etiquette. Fee: $149, includes six 1.75 hour lessons, use of all equipment, a golf t-shirt, and a bag tag.

Parent Child Lessons

Four (4) one hour Saturday afternoon lessons. Topics include Full swing I and II, putting, chipping, safety, terminology, and etiquette.   Fee: $40 per student, includes four 1-hour lessons, use of all equipment, a golf t-shirt for the youth, and a bag tag.

Saturday afternoons at 1:30, 2:30, 3:30, or 4:30 PM
Session 1: May 13, 20, June 3, 10, with June 17 as a rainout make-up.
Session 2: July 15, 22, 29, and August 5, with August 12 as a rainout make-up.


Intermediate and Advanced Summer Golf Academy

Twelve (12) three-hour sessions from the week of June 19 through the week of July 31, skipping the week of July 4th. Players may pick any 12 sessions from the times listed below. These lessons are open to all experienced junior golfers, but are designed with the avid golfer in mind. Topics include Full swing I, II, III, IV, and V, putting, chipping, pitching, sand play, shot trajectory, safety, terminology, etiquette, course management, Rules of Golf, college scholarships, game analysis, and competitive greatness. The week of August 8 will be used as a make-up week for rainouts. In addition to the topics listed, students will also play golf with one of our staff during each lesson on one of our regulation courses. Fee: $375, which includes 12 three-hour lessons, video analysis of full swing, pre/post summer game analysis, an embroidered Titleist hat, use of all equipment, a golf t-shirt, a bag tag, and playing privileges during each lesson. All Golf Academy registrants will be eligible for the Emerald Greens PGA Junior League team!

Players may pick any 12 sessions from the times and days listed from June 19 through Wednesday, August 2.
